In Touch Taiwan 2016, E ink, the world’s largest EPD solutions provider, showcased very diverse EPD applications including e-readers, smartphone case, smart tags, smartwatches, digital Papers, digital signage and E Ink Prism applications.
The wide variety of product applications was a bit overwhelmed, but it also proves an electronic paper display can be used in many other places and situations.
In addition, E Ink for the first time demonstrated the Rimowa’s electronic luggage tag suitcases in Taiwan, which is a E Ink display embedded products for fast luggage check-in. And another surprise was a EPD bus stand, though it was an experimental project in Japan, but showed EPD has got more favor in many ways.
Moreover, being aware of the wide range of possibilities of EPD applications, E ink also launched its evaluation kits for those interested in adopting EPD solutions, helping companies and developers to start their EPD projects easily and quickly.
In terms of the financial aspect, E Ink had reported turnaround in the second quarter of this year, and has a bright outlook in the Q3.
