As part of the collaboration between the two companies, Telco Systems and NEXCOM are introducing the first service-ready Arm-based uCPE and Intel Denverton C3000 uCPE solutions consisting of Telco Systems’ NFVTime software and NEXCOM’s DNA 1160 and NSA 3640 white box appliances.

These new uCPE solutions introduce higher performance, security and deployment flexibility based on the unique NFVTime software and NXP and Denverton hardware platform capabilities.

NFVTime includes an NFVi-OS and an uCPE manger that provides management and orchestration (MANO). By transparently supporting both Arm and Intel x86 architectures, NFVTime allows service providers to select the appropriate technology mix to support different use cases and business requirements without the need to change deployment or operational processes.

NEXCOM’s DNA 1160 white box appliance features the Intel Atom® processor C3000 product family and integrates multi-core computing performance, hardware acceleration in virtualization, crypto and compression workloads. NEXCOM’s NSA 3640 white box appliances uses NXP’s QorIQ LS2085A/LS2088A eight Arm® Cortex®- A57/ A72 cores communications processor, including NXP’s second generation data path acceleration architecture (DPAA2).

“We are experiencing strong demand for NFVTime, which is being driven its unique capability to enable a service provider to launch NFV services within weeks using our uCPE solution,” said Raanan Tzemach, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Telco Systems.

“Our collaboration with NEXCOM, Intel and NXP introduces new innovative solutions that address the market need for a wider selection of uCPE options and the need for better performance-to-cost that are key for the business success of our customers.”

“Network communication and services are gradually becoming integral parts within the telecom industry with many operators shifting their focus to network services. NFV, which allows agile and flexible service delivery and facilitates the management of increasingly complex service strategies, is seen as an ideal solution for telecom carriers to easily allocate hardware resources for service upgrade, expansion and termination,” said Hadwin Liu, Chief Architect of the Network & Communication Solutions Business Group at NEXCOM.

“We are excited to join forces with Telco Systems, a leading vendor of uCPE innovation, to assist customers in reaching their NFV objectives, showcased by the high performance demonstrated using Telco Systems’ NFVTime run on NEXCOM DNA1160 white boxes.”
