China's BOE Pushing Positively to Supply Its OLED Panels to Apple

TAIPEI, Taiwan - According to Economic Daily News, Beijing Oriental Enterprise (BOE), the LCD panel factory in China positively contacts with Apple, illustrating the latest progress of its OLED factory, and desire to get adopted by Apple.

So far, OLED screen of Apple iPhone X is exclusively provided by Samsung Display, but other OLED factories also hope to compete for this customer. Including Sharp Corporation, a subsidiary of Foxconn Technology Group lobbies Apple as well.
To strive for the orders of Apple cellphone panels, BOE spent billions of dollars (up to NT$300 billion) to build the B11 and B12 OLED production lines exclusively for Apple. What's more, the executive leaders of BOE visited U.S. in person to lobbied Apple, hoping to gain the favor of it.
