Qisda stated that although internationally there are a number of major companies which also provide smart factory solutions, when entering into Taiwanese enterprises it is difficult for them to carry out complete customization. However, depending on the company, Qisda provides different solutions.

At the same time, Qisda themselves have factory experience and are considerably clear about the problems that factories encounter. This enables them to create smart factory solutions which are closer to reality.

Qisda Chairman and CEO Peter Chen stated that due to the demand for diverse products which are manufactured in small quantities, smart factories are being pushed that can reduce the time spent changing production lines from 30 minutes to 3 minutes. Moreover, smart factory business models can be marketed to customers in a variety of industries.

Peter Chen also pointed out that Taiwan’s annual semiconductor production output is worth NT$80.7 billion. Therefore, for Qisda, marketing automated smart factories to the semiconductor industry is the key focus of their current stage of development. To date in Taiwan, Qisda’s smart factory solutions have already been introduced to heavy-grade communication electronics factories, printed circuit board (PCB) factories, wireless communications factories, and even cross-strait factories.
