PlayNitride was founded in 2014, and within a mere five years, they have rapidly broken into the Micro LED sector. Ritdisplay, on the other hand, was founded in the year 2000 and currently specialize in PMOLED technology which was incorporated into Fibit wearable devices as of 2014.

The primary focuses of this bilateral strategic alliance are Ritdisplay’s experience in mass producing their past products and the implementation of a mutual cooperation which draws upon their extensive brand-name client base and PlayNitride’s newest Micro-LED products. Following this comprehensive collaboration between the two companies, the time frame for the commercial mass production of Micro-LED is expected to become more rapid.

PlayNitride possess full-process technologies which include epitaxial and Micro LED production and mass transfer. Furthermore, this year in the United States they launched a 7.8 inch transparent display, and they also currently have the capacity to enter into small-sized mass production in accordance with customers’ requirements. In addition, due to their leading technical capabilities, PlayNitride has been the focal point of the industry since their establishment and has won the favor of Apple.
