TAIPEI, Taiwan – Taiwan’s National Space Organization(NSPO) links carbon compound materials research advantage of CPC Corporation, to co-develop space class composite material products.
The two held a delivery ceremony. CPC handed its Optical Payload Composite Cylinder and high-pressure fuel tank/ Valve pipe coating technology to NSPO. Meanwhile, CPC and NSPO also signed MOU with Metal Industries Research & Development Centre(MIRDC) to show their determination of pushing the space satellite industry and advancing technical abilities.
CPC said that the Optical Payload Composite Cylinder is a component of payload high-precision optical camera of telemetry satellite. In response to the use conditions and rapid temperature changes in space, the optical payload composite cylinder is made of low-hygroscopic materials, composite material stack, molds, and the production conditions, which are all the keys. It’s able to ensure the components will not contaminate the lens and to avoid deformation caused by temperature changes, which may cause the lens to shift.
