Wistron, Optiemus Collaborate on Establishing Assembly Company in India

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Wistron Corporation and Optiemus Infracon held a press conference in New Delhi, India and announced both companies’ signing of a letter of intent. The two companies will collectively establish a manufacturing and assembly base which will primarily produce smart communication device products.

Wistron Director, President, and COO Robert Huang stated at the press conference: “Through this collaboration with Optiemus, Wistron will move beyond the first step of manufacturing in India to enter rapidly growing emerging markets with sophisticated ODM technologies and innovative ideas. We are looking forward to expanding the telecommunications market in India by integrating with Optiemus’ approach and grasping end-users’ requirements.”

Optiemus Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi commented: “We hope to enter the Indian market with world-class smart communications products by establishing a long-term partnership with Wistron. This will also enable end-users to enjoy high-quality communications technologies. We also hope that on this foundation we will build ourselves into one of India’s top three Netcom groups within the next three to five years.
