Delta Supplies Passive Components for iPhone 6

TAIPEI, TAIWAN — Delta Electronics said that its microwave passive components are at full speed of manufecturing, and under current equipment hoping to boost the production by 50 percent this year. Delta also has not only received passive components' orders from Apple Inc. for iPhone 5 series, but also for the coming iPhone 6.

“Microwave passive components have been widely used in smart products and even applied in the smaller electric powersupply circuit and integrated circuit, we were in the lead last year, surely will continue this year,” said Delta Electronics Spokesperson Jesse Chou.
There are 20 passive components used in every Apple's phone, and Cyntec, a subsidiary company of Delta Electronics is the major supplier. Meanwhile, an exclusive supplier for iPhone 5S/5C, and it is said that will also be the exclusive supplier of passive components for the lastest iPhone 6 according to an earlier report.
However, the Spokesperson refused to disclose information of its customer, but forcast that the shipment of passive components of Delta Electronics were more than 10 billion units, “and the microwave passive components occupied one out of ten,” said Jesse Chou.
Delta Electronics is positive about passive components, communicaton, and Industrial Automation (IA), emphasizing that these three will be its driving force. For communication, mainly benifit from the Long Term Evolution (LTE), Delta Networks, a subsidiary company of which has had its orders increased last year.
