Taiwan IC Revenue Grows 6.7% in Q3

TAIPEI, Taiwan-The Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) today announced the lastest Statistics on Taiwan IC Industry. According to the statistics, Q3 2014 Taiwan IC revenue as a whole totaled NT$588.3 billion of and 15.9% YoY.

The TSIA survey showed that Q3 2014 Taiwan IC revenue as a whole (including design, manufacturing, packaging and testing) totaled NT$588.3 billion (6.7% QoQ and 15.9% YoY), with NT$154.9B in design (6.4% QoQ and up 20% YoY), NT$311.6B in manufacturing (8.2% QoQ and 15.3% YoY) (NT$243.8B in foundry, 10.1% QoQ and 18.3% YoY and NT$67.8B in memory, 2.0% QoQ and 5.6% YoY) NT$84.5B in packaging (3.7% QoQ and 12.7% YoY), and NT$37.3B in testing (3.3% QoQ and 2.3% YoY).

The IEK of ITRI expected that Taiwan IC revenue in 2014 will reach NT$2,198.3B (16.4% growth from 2013), with NT$572.8B in design (19.1% increase), NT$1,162.6B in manufacturing (16.7% growth, with foundry NT$896.5B, up 18.1% and memory NT$266.1B, 12.1% increase), NT$321B in packaging (12.9% increase), and NT$141.9B in testing (up 12.1%).
