PCs is the most important PC applications to USB interface, therefore USB-IF has participated COMPUTEX TAIPEI almost every year to promote the latest USB technology. While maintaining a consistent low-key booth design, but it attracted a lot of visitors this year. Everyone came for the same reason- SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.1) and Type-C.
This small exhibition area is very exciting, almost gathered the world's leading supplier of USB chips, including Renesas, Microchip, Cypress, ASMedia, Genesys Logic, Etron and Richtek, and products and applications is included the Host, Client, switch, power adapter and cable wire, where is the best place for purchasing the latest USB 3.1 and Type-C products.
"Every year, we are with USB-IF to exhibit USB solutions, and the number of visiters this year is indeed more than last year." said the staff of ASMedia.
ASMedia, a Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company that develops and markets high-speed IO solutions, just announced the industry’s first SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen2) certified host silicon-ASM1142, which is demonstrated at their booth.
"Pretty good, a lot of people visiting." Genesys Logic site staff said.
Genesys Logic is also a Taiwanese ICs provider, the company announced its high-performance USB Type-C integrated SuperSpeed hub controller, GL3523S just before COMPUTEX.
In addition to USB-IF booth, other PC and peripheral manufacturers have also introduced a number of new USB 3.1 products, including motherboards, connector modules and end products, which will allow advance the popularity of USB 3.1.
