Win10 and Gaming Boost Taiwan’s Summer PC Market

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The “Taipei Computer Application Show 2015” is held at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from 30th July to 3rd August. Global primary PC manufacturers will unveil their new Winodows 10 products, including desktop,notebook,tablet and AI0. Besides, gaming products are highly highlighted for this year’s exhibition.

Windows 10 was officially available as a free upgrade yesterday. Microsoft expects that one billion PCs to be using its Windows 10 in two years. Among them, 0.2 billion units are Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, 0.6 billion units are PC replacements and the others are new OEM/ODM products.

Grace Chou, sub-business group leader of Windows and Surface at Microsoft Taiwan, said that more than 1500 devices will be displayed in Taiwan in the early stage and cooperative retailers will more than 150 stores.

For the gaming products, Acer extends this year’s scale to display Aspire V Nitro with NVIDIA GeForce9 graphics card, Acer’s premium XB0 Series monitors adopted NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and XR341CK, an ultra-wide curved screen. Additionally, Acer set up a gaming stage inside exhibition area, having gaming activities every day during this period.

Dell for the first time installs gaming special zone and holds a series of gaming competitions.
