HTC Teams up with Spotify and “Halfbeak” on the go

TAIPEI, Taiwan — HTC Co. has teamed up with online music streaming service Spotify by means to provide recommended playlists formulated to match users’ facial expressions. Moreover, it is widely circulated that HTC is developing a nicknamed “halfbeak” smartwatch, which is based upon Android Wear.

It is part of an HTC marketing campaign posted on September 8 via the company’s official Twitter account, which says: “Smile! Or not. Whatever your mood, post a selfie here, and you’ll get a playlist to match it. http://spotify-htc.com/”
Spotify is a Swedish commercial music streaming, podcast and video service that provides digital rights management-restricted content from record labels and media companies including BBC, Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group, and Universal, etc.
Nevertheless, it is widely circulated that HTC is developing a nicknamed “halfbeak” smartwatch, which is based upon Android Wear.
HTC forecast at 2015 MWC on March that it is going to launch HTC Grip to penetrate the wearable market. Details haven’t been released until now except for the “halfbeak” smartwatch.
