Advantech, Intel, and Microsoft Jointly Launch IoT Gateway Development Integration Kit

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwanese Intelligent Systems company, Advantech, today announced that they will collaborate with Intel and Microsoft on the launch of an Internet of Things (IoT) Gateway Development Integration Kit in order to collectively assist in the acceleration of IoT innovation.

This kit will include the Intel Celeron J1900 platform with Windows 7 Embedded, WISE-PaaS, a software development kit with technical support service, and Microsoft Azure service certification.

The kit provides building blocks which are open, complete, and immediately useable, and it can be connected to all kinds of machinery, devices, and sensors. Furthermore, after comprehensive data collection, it can be used to carry out the integration of various protocols into the IoT standard protocol – MQTT.

WISE-PaaS/RMM will be used to transform data into hundreds of types of RESTful APIs, and integrated data logic design tools will produce all kinds of IoT applications with active data management solutions, such as data streaming, analysis, and forecasting.

Miller Chang, Vice President of Embedded Core Group of Advantech stated that “IoT projects are highly complex and take a long time to implement. Advantech’s IoT Gateway Developer Integration Kit not only simplifies IoT deployment, but also creates a large amount of mutually beneficial functions.”
